Job Description

Role and Responsibilities
General Labor (Intermediate to Expert)
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. The following duties are listed both as trade specific and shared responsibilities:

·         Be able to Read and Understand Construction Drawings and Plans

·         Candidates need 1-5+ years of experience in the following:

- The ability to install metal frames and doors along with the hardware that goes in to them.

-Hardware includes (but not limited to) Closers, Door locks (mortise and regular),
          Panic Devices, Kick plates, door stops, flush bolts, hinges, silencers, etc)
- Hanging hollow metal, wood and specialty doors.
- Able to run forklift, as well as misc drywall and patchwork.
-   Must have own tools (hand drill, screwdrivers, drill bits...etc)
Ability to follow directions and take initiative.

 Foreman (Specialist)

Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. The following duties are listed both as trade specific and shared responsibilities:

·         All of the above requirements need to be met with expert experience.
·         Manage a crew of 3-8 men at any given time.
·         Act as Company representative at any site safety or progress meetings
·         Perform final walk through and any final adjustments to hardware and doors
·         Relay job status information to main office as well as provide paperwork for weekly payrolls to crew and job (if required)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proof of residency or citizenship
  • Current TX Drivers License
  • Transportation
  • Willingness to occasionally travel

Preferred Skills

Bilingual (fluent in English reading, writing, speech and Spanish reading, writing, speech)

Carpentry and Division 08710

Ability to read, understand and follow directions as provided either by plans or verbal instruction

Knowledge of Division 10 (Bathroom Accessory/ Chalk Board/ Locker Install) MAJOR Plus!
